Your wealth is
too complex for
ordinary advice.
I work with a select group of high-net-worth families, executives, and women in transition who need more than portfolio management. They need someone who sees the whole picture — and tells them the truth about it.

Why clients choose Sharon
Finance was built to confuse you.
I built my practice to do the opposite.
I started my career at Citi Smith Barney in 2008 — the worst financial crisis in a generation. I learned fast, or I failed. That year shaped how I think about wealth: not as a number on a screen, but as the security, identity, legacy, and freedom behind every family I work with.
For 15 years I sat inside the largest financial institutions in the world. I watched how they talked about clients behind closed doors. I decided I wanted to build something different — a practice where the advice is genuinely yours, not influenced by what the firm needs to sell this quarter.
I work with a select group of clients. Not hundreds. Not a call center. You get me — someone who knows your whole picture, calls you when markets drop, and tells you what other advisors are too polite or too conflicted to say.

What I do
Most advisors manage your portfolio.
I manage your wealth.
There is a difference. A portfolio is a spreadsheet. Wealth is your estate, your taxes, your family, your legacy, and your freedom — all moving at the same time. Here is how I handle all of it.
01
Estate & Wealth Transfer Planning
Your estate plan is not a "one and done" document. It is a living strategy that needs to move with your life — and with the law.
-
Trust review and funding confirmation
-
Beneficiary designation audit
-
2026 exemption planning ($15M per person)
-
Multi-generational transfer strategy
-
Coordination with your estate attorney
02
Portfolio Management & Investment Strategy
At $2M+, the standard 60/40 portfolio starts to break down. I build strategies built for your actual complexity — not a template.
-
Concentration risk analysis and reduction
-
Alternative investments (private credit, real assets)
-
Direct indexing for tax efficiency
-
Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs)
-
Liquidity tier planning
03
Tax-Efficient Wealth Strategy
Your CPA files your taxes. I make sure you're not paying more than you should — before the year ends, not after.
-
Year-round tax-loss harvesting
-
Annual gift tax exclusion planning
-
Roth conversion strategy
-
Qualified charitable distributions (QCD)
-
Coordination with your CPA
04
Divorce Financial Planning (CDFA®)
I am one of the few Forbes-recognized advisors in New York who is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. When your financial life splits in two, you need someone who has seen this before.
-
Asset division analysis and strategy
-
Settlement scenario modeling
-
Post-divorce financial independence planning
-
Coordination with divorce attorneys
-
Rebuilding wealth after transition
05
Retirement Income Planning
At $5M+, retirement is not about surviving on a 4% withdrawal. It is about designing a life your wealth can actually sustain — without anxiety about running out.
-
Tax-efficient drawdown sequencing
-
Social Security optimization
-
RMD planning and management
-
Income floor vs. investment portfolio design
-
Long-term care strategy
06
Charitable Giving & Legacy
Giving should be a strategy, not an impulse. I help clients build a philanthropic plan that is as intentional as everything else in their financial life.
-
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) setup and strategy
-
Charitable Remainder Trust planning
-
Foundation support and coordination
-
Qualified Charitable Distributions from IRAs
-
Legacy and values conversations with family
Is this you?
I work with people whose wealth has outgrown their current advice.
Not everyone is the right fit. Here is who I am built to serve.
The High-Net-Worth Family
$2M – $50M+ in investable assets
You have spent 20–30 years building wealth. Now the complexity has caught up with the success — estate documents that haven't been updated, adult children with different financial situations, a tax bill that seems to grow every year. You need a strategist, not just a money manager.
The Woman in Transition
Divorce · Widowhood · Inheritance
Your financial situation just changed completely — maybe overnight. You may have managed significant assets for years, or this may be the first time you've been solely responsible for a large sum of money. Either way, you need an advisor who will explain things clearly, not talk around you. I hold a CDFA® certification specifically for this. I have seen this situation hundreds of times. You have not. Let me show you the way through.
The Corporate Executive or Entrepreneur
RSUs · Business sale · Concentrated equity
Your compensation is complicated and your net worth is increasingly tied to one company or one outcome. A liquidity event, an IPO, or a business sale is approaching — and you have no plan for what comes next. That is exactly when the right advisor matters most, and exactly when the wrong one costs you the most.
The Next Generation
Inheritors · Wealth builders · Ages 35–50
You recently inherited wealth, or you have spent your career building serious money and realized your current setup is not built for where you are. You want an advisor who will actually explain what is happening — and who has no product to sell you. I work with a number of clients who came to me through their parents, and have since built their own planning with me.
Not sure if you are the right fit? Schedule a 20-minute call — no pitch, no pressure.
How it works
Four conversations that change everything.
Every client relationship starts the same way: with a conversation, not a pitch.
1
The First Call
20 minutes. No agenda but to understand your situation and whether I can genuinely help. No pitch.
2
The Full Picture
A 60-minute deep-dive across your entire financial life — investments, estate, taxes, insurance, goals, fears.
3
The Plan
I build a comprehensive strategy. Not a template — a plan built specifically around your situation and your goals.
4
Ongoing Partnership
Regular reviews, proactive outreach when markets move, and a direct line to me — not a call center.

Common questions
What you need to know before we talk.
Straight answers to the questions most HNW families ask before reaching out.
I work exclusively with high-net-worth individuals, multigenerational families, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and women in financial transition — typically clients with $2 million to $50 million or more in investable assets. I maintain a selective, boutique client list and manage over $250 million in assets under management. I am based in New York City and licensed in over 15 states.
Yes — always. I operate through Magnus Financial Group LLC, an SEC-registered independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). As a fiduciary, I am legally required to act in your best interests at all times. I do not earn commissions and do not sell proprietary products. My advice is genuinely yours, not influenced by what the firm needs to sell this quarter.
I generally work with clients who have a minimum of $2 million in investable assets. My core client base typically ranges from $5 million to $50 million and above. I maintain a selective client list — not to be exclusive for the sake of it, but because genuine high-touch service requires it.
Yes — this is one of my most important areas of practice. I am a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) and one of the few Forbes-recognized advisors in New York with this specialty. I work with high-net-worth women navigating divorce, helping them understand asset division, model settlement scenarios, and plan for financial independence after the process is complete. I regularly collaborate with divorce attorneys and work with clients from the earliest stages of separation through post-divorce financial rebuilding.
Effective January 1, 2026, the federal estate tax exemption increased to $15 million per individual ($30 million for married couples), up from $13.99 million in 2025. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act made this higher exemption permanent and inflation-indexed. The prior scheduled "sunset" reduction to approximately $7 million per person did not occur. The annual gift tax exclusion remains $19,000 per person ($38,000 per couple). Families with significant estates should review their plans to ensure they are taking full advantage of current exemption levels and gifting strategies.
